Freediver Alice Ellialtıoğlu broke the Turkish record in the CNF branch during the Asian Freediving Championships held in the Philippines by diving to 61 meters without fixed fins.

Competing in the Asian Freediving Championships held in the Philippines, freediver Alice Ellialtıoğlu broke the Turkish record by diving to a depth of 61 meters. Participating in the competition under the main sponsorship of İstanbul Akvaryum Ellialtıoğlu achieved an international success by diving to the depth of 61 meters in Constant Weight Without Fins (CNF), one of the most challenging disciplines of freediving, where divers dive only using muscle power without any auxiliary equipment.

Diving to the depth of 77 meters in the constant weight bi-fin CWTB discipline Alice Ellialtıoğlu is the only Turkish athlete competing in the championship and she aims to continue her training sessions in the Philippine island of Pangloa for the championship that will continue until June 5 and get higher scores.

Being interested in the seas since her childhood Alice Ellialtıoğlu decided to compete in the Asian Freediving Championship, by becoming a professional in free diving, which she used to do as a hobby until the age of 36, in a short period of two years with her well disciplined efforts and achieved great success. Ellialtıoğlu expressed her feelings about breaking the Turkish record in the Asian Freediving Championship in the Philippines: "I was proud and happy to break the Turkish record by diving to 61 meters in this championship. Achieve this success with the main sponsorship and support of İstanbul Akvaryum becomes even more meaningful. I reached to a good degree in one of the most challenging disciplines of freediving and this is an indicator that I represent our country in the best way in the international area. My goal is to keep training during this championship, which will continue until June 5 and further improve my ranking to go on representing our country in the best way possible."
